His family regrets to inform his clients that Michael passed away from complications during heart bypass surgery on September 4, 2020. The death was unexpected and unrelated to COVID-19. Michael Singh is a licensed massage therapist (Lic. 227.019242) serving the Rockford, Loves Park, Belvidere and Cherry Valley areas. He promotes personal enhancement through physical rejuvenation via full body massage, neck and head massage, cupping, trigger point, massage to help Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and massage to help Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. In short, his massage therapies are not "one size fits all." They are focused, personalized and attentive to each client's needs.
Located in the Rani Medical Center on Perryville Road (near the Carlson Ice Arena), Soothing Touch Massage Therapy is not a full-service spa. Instead, Mike Singh caters to clients seeking a personalized approach to healing and massage therapy as well as those looking for a massage same-day, between errands or before/after working hours. At Soothing Touch, clients enjoy more time and attention than typical spas as well as custom therapies and rates, based on individual needs.
As a practitioner of holistic medicine, Mike Singh talks to each client to devise a therapy program to prevent and treat whatever ails you: body aches, discomfort, sports injuries, physical stress and medical recovery—and most importantly, to promote optimal health.
Soothing Touch accepts requests for appointments online as well as via phone and text, although for quickest appointment confirmations, text is best (815-597-2055). All online appointment requests will be confirmed by phone call or text message to the number provided. Same-day appointments can be made when available; please call ahead before desired arrival time to confirm availability.

First-time clients receive an introductory rate of $45 for 60 minutes. Extended therapies of 75, 90 and 120 minutes are available at regular rates.
Special 2020 rate for Trigger Point: Trigger Point Therapy starts at $70.00 for 60 miutes and Tigger Point Therapy Plus starts at $80.00 for 60 minutes.

MEDICAL MASSAGE
Medical massage is outcome-based massage, primarily the application of a specific treatment targeted to the specific problem(s) the patient presents with a diagnosis and are administered after a thorough assessment/evaluation by the medical massage therapist with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment. It is also known as clinical massage or treatment massage.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage therapy is geared toward athletes of every kind. The particulars of the sports massage technique are specific to the athlete’s sport of choice. Focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY / TRIGGER POINT THERAPY PLUS
Trigger Point Therapy is a healing technique based on the principle of free and uninterrupted energy flow and helps activate the natural healing processes in each patient's body as well as to restore their physical and emotional well-being. As a certified Massage Therapist, Mike Singh helps patients reduce their stress and anxiety, among other ailments.
SWEDISH MASSAGE
Swedish massage involves rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Walk-ins and same-day appointments are welcome when available (30-minute call-ahead requested to confirm availability).
